"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there." - Will Rogers

Tonight Mimi and I went to the Y for a Beginner's Spin Class, and I must say that it was awesome! We learned how to properly bike, etc... and it was very intense! I'm hoping to go back each week because it was an awesome workout. I think I could give Lance a run for his money now :) Larissa - is that something you did in preparation for your Tri? Anna, have you taken spin classes before, or just Yoga? I highly recommend them now! I'm glad Mimi suggested we go!

After 30 min of Spin we went to the track and ran 3 miles! Needless to say, I am exhausted! The 3 miles went easy though and it's always great to have Mims run with me :)

The weather here in NC is supposed to be 80-85 all weekend long! So we are expecting to have an amazing Easter weekend! I'm throwing Blythe's bridal shower this Saturday, so hopefully everything will go smoothly and we will have a nice time! I'm hoping to get some nice outside runs in. Anyone else have plans for this weekend ??? Let's hear them.

  1. sounds like tri training Mir :) I used to do spin classes all the time - not so much for my tri training because usually the miles are a bit too low - but riding the bike and then going right into a run is called a "brick" in the tri world - and those are some of the harder and longer workouts - seems like you did a semi-brick :)spin classes make me sweat like no other!

I think cross-training is essential no matter what sport you're training for - swimming and biking are great mixed with running because they are cardio - but help work different muscles - and aren't quite as hard on your body as the pounding of the run
