Today I ran 5k (3 miles). The sun was out (it has been out all weekend) and it was the perfect early spring running day! I have Rhianna (1st CCI dog) with me because Julie's son is in the hospital right now, so I took her with me. She's such a good dog to run with! It was nice because it's better for dogs to continue at a faster pace so it helped me keep a faster and steadier pace. It was also fun not to run by myself and have something else to focus on rather than just me me me and run run run. I felt the best I have since we've started this running business. I was really running, not jogging, which was nice. It was my fastest pace yet (according to my Nike+). You were right Miranda, it is good to take the time for it, even with very busy schedules. Today was a day that was a little less busy than the others, so I took the time to take a little run. And I felt great.
Musakkkk: Figure It Out - Maroon 5, Hollywood - Madonna, I Have you to thank - Gavin DeGraw, Wraith Pinned to the Mist and Other Games - Of Montreal, Thank You - The Little Heroes
This music was way different than my usual running music, but it was kind of a nice change. They are good just carryin' on songs if that makes sense!
Great Job L! I loved that you took Rihanna out with you for your run - she's so great! I can just see you two now, like two peas in a pod, running happily along :) yaaay! glad you got there! great job!
ReplyDeletep.s. i loved that you use the word "SPRING" to describe your day. I'm looking out the window now at a foot of snow and 15 degrees. no running outside until probably April. enjoy the weather boo!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes it has been very "springy" here the past couple of days. Leaves and flowers are coming back, the sun's been out. I was running in shorts and a t-shirt for the first time. LOVE California. I know it's just a little preview though, because usually March is very very rainy.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very nice run, though. I'm going to try to do it again on Wednesday.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Hope it's not too too chilly there!
haha I was about to write the same thing Anna - in NY and there is snow coming down - has been for almost 24 hours - and just left snow in Atlanta and Alabama - can't wait for spring!
ReplyDeletei hope we are done with our snow flurries here in the South Lariss! Aren't you? I can't wait until spring!
ReplyDeletei hear ya girls! I hear ya! I hope it stops soon. I love it but it's about this time always every year, enough is enough! Try to bundle up and stay warm! xoxo
ReplyDeleteIs your CCI dog Rhianna a breeder or have they repeated the name?
ReplyDeleteHelp! Pfeiffer (of Rhianna x Paxton III) is graduating & I can't find any of the photos I have of Rhianna!!! I have a few of her with the pups nursing, but let's face it, no one looks real good when they just gave birth! I need a GOOD photo (or a few) of her standing, sitting, or her face, something, just not looking exhausted! Any chance anyone could help?
